*Also, our friends at Coastal Cleaners have offered to serve as an early morning drop off site for tennis racquet re-stringing. If you need to drop off your racquet before the Hut opens, just stop by Coastal Cleaners and leave your frame along with your name and telephone number so we can call you to get the deatails. Coastal Cleaners is located on the corner of Bradley and Wall Street, where the old train station parking lot is located.
If you need to drop off very early, you can use the drop box, which is right outside their front door (just remember to attach your name / phone and leave a message on the Hut phone, so we know :)
(they also offer this drop off for dry cleaning, so keep them in mind for that too! :)

Did you know it is recommended to restring your racquets at least every 6 months?
Think of the string in your racquet as an elastic band. When it is new, the string is very firm and flexible, which can give you more control and power. As the string ages, it becomes less firm, non-responsive and stiff. This happens just by time going by, and is further aged by actual playing time.
Do not wait for the strings to break as a sign of getting all the life out of the string! Fresh string will make for a more consistent result from your racquet! (that is why the pros do it so frequently...)
